Lions, as you attend our student's events this week, be sure to thank the officials that make these contests possible! September 20th - 26th is NSAA Fall Officials' Appreciation Week, and we want our officials to know that the Lions are thankful for them! #WhatWeDo
In 5th Grade Science students studied Energy and Matter of organisms. For 5 days we weighed the container our Painted Lady Caterpillars were in with their food. Every time we weighed the container it weighed less and the caterpillar got bigger. This showed us that caterpillars get energy from the food they eat and use the energy to grow bigger and to form a chrysalis. Once the caterpillar turned into a butterfly it emerged (called eclosion), we then released them into the world.
