Over 50% of kids at Louisville get school lunch. Their opinions matter!

At least 50% of Louisville Public School students get school lunch. School lunch has changed in many ways throughout the years, whether that being food restrictions, portions and new items, it is still enjoyed and consumed by many. Although it may be fun for the staff to try out new lunch options, many kids say that they like the usual, predictable lunches. Most people say the normal lunches are their favorite out of all the options.

Sophomore Owen Faubion says, “I like the classic options like hamburgers, chicken nuggets and pizza. I wish we had pizza and ice cream every Friday again.”

Another Sophomore Elias Edwards shared that he thinks the regular school lunches are the best with crispitoes being his favorite.

Many kids appreciate the recognizable meals the school has been serving ever since they've eaten school lunch for the first time. With this being said they still appreciate whatever they can get. Many students remember when we used to serve cookies for a few dollars and wish to get it back. This could be something to consider adding back. Overall lots of kids get school lunch. In order to have the least amount of waste, serving the most liked and eaten foods would be the best option.
