Few acknowledge all the small and big things the Louisville Booster Club does for Louisville’s athletes and our school. Were you aware they have supplied over $ 145,000 of equipment in the last five years alone? They can provide sports teams with equipment, long term gear, and much more. “Some things that they avoid are: Jerseys, personal warm ups, travel gear, and short term gear.”
“ If coaches are in need of anything, they can reach out to Mr. Walker. He has a form they fill out, they need to describe what they need and estimated cost, timeline, etc… We welcome them to present it during one of our monthly meetings where we vote on whether or not to move forward with it. We try to keep it fair across all sports and we look for things that benefit the most students and prefer to fund items that will have a lasting impact. “ Danielle Kottas states.
Some of their recent accomplishments include a shooting machine for basketball, making use of the donations to buy the big screen out front, the new chairs for the gym, funding the annual sports banquet, and paying for the HUDL subscription that videos and tracks games and stats. “Some ways you can help are to use the Lions Booster Club pump at the gas station. This pump, Number 3, donates a percentage of proceeds to the booster club to aid our student athletes. Becoming a member of the Booster Club is easy and does not require excess commitment. You can also join the Booster Club on the website or by talking to Mr. Walker.

Thanks to our amazing Booster Club and all the effort they give, our school runs smoothly. The students and athletes at Louisville High School are grateful for everything they do. Mr. Walker stated, “It's bridging the gap between our activities and the school and the community. There's a level of support that’s like, Here's a group of families and people that are dedicated to making our school a better place.” The booster club is an important part of our community.
