Kelsey Wiping her shoes off.

Year 2025 is going to be one for the record books for the Louisville Lions. The volleyball wins have been higher than they have been in the past 10 years. Louisville Lions Volleyball is on track to place at districts. Currently, Louisville is the 2nd-highest ranked team in the conference. Many girls contribute to this, but let's take a closer look at one girl's success who shows up and gives it her all.

The Senior of the hour NUMBER 1 KELSEY HAYNES!! Kelsey has been playing since the 3rd grade. She reached 500 digs in her sophomore year and she holds the season digging record in 2024, with 484 digs. She is also going to break her own record for season digs in 2025. Kelsey is also on track to have the most career digs, already passing the current record holder, McKenna Zahn who broke the record in 2010 through 2013.

Kelsey would like to tell the younger generation of volleyball players, “ Stay Humble; if you work hard enough, you will get a position.”

She never thought she would be the varsity libero, but she worked hard and bumped older girls down one by one to get to the spot she is today, and now she is on the wall of records in Louisville High School.
