Louisville Public Schools, many teachers that have come and gone throughout the years. However, a teacher respected by all, Mrs. Klein, has been teaching for over 20 years. She has played a major role on the elementary side, serving as an influential teacher for numerous younger students.
But this year is a little different. Mrs. Klein has decided to step up and take on the role of teaching middle schoolers. 2 former English teachers, Ms. Davis and Mrs. Spicka, left our school last year, leaving 2 open spots where we needed help. Klein decided to take this opportunity and step out of her comfort zone and teach older kids.
Klein said, “I am glad that I get to teach students I have had in my past again.”
Klein claims that she enjoys teaching middle school a bit more because the students are more understanding of what she is teaching, and they are more independent with their time. She also says that she enjoys the fact that she gets to see and teach some of her former students again, since she had taught them in elementary school.
Cora Zimmerman, a seventh grader in Mrs. Klein’s class, said, “One thing I like about Mrs. Klein’s teaching is that she is very interactive and makes class fun.”
This was a big step in Mrs. Klein’s teaching career. She decided that it was the best option for her to try something new and switch to something different that she has never done before.
