Time flies. The seniors are on their last few months at Louisville High School. The class of 2025 has spent a lot of their life in Louisville, but what’s next for them?

All of them are going their separate ways and are going to do what’s right for them. Alayna Piper is going to UNL to study interior designing.

“I’m ready to start that new chapter and to see what’s in the future for me,” said Piper.

Even if it’s not too far, moving away from family and friends can be scary, but it opens up new experiences. Shawn Kavanaugh can’t wait to see the opportunities that are waiting for him.

“I’m just excited to go to college and meet new people,”  said Kavanaugh.

Making new friends is very exciting but the old memories are still cherished.

Besides going to the football games and dressing up, senior Nola Nelson’s favorite memory was going on a trip for Spanish Club in 2023.

“We went to Costa Rica and Panama, and I went with a bunch of my friends and we got to learn about the different cultures,” said Nelson.

Having memories like this makes it hard to leave. Even with all the ups and downs that high school throws, sharing those moments with the people they love is important.

From entering high school to graduating, many people have impacted their lives. Besides her friends, Nola Nelson is going to miss her teachers, especially Mr. Roth.

“He’s a great teacher. He has taught me a lot of different things like physics and calculus that’ll help prepare me for college,” Nelson said.

Everyone knows that school can be challenging, so some advice is worth sharing.

“Just go with the flow, things are going to happen,” Piper stated.

Nelson shared that grades matter and once your GPA goes down you can’t fix it.

Growing up can be full of scary moments. These students are about to open a new chapter in their lives. They’ve created lots of good memories. Now it’s their time to go make new ones as they cherish the old.
